The Pan-Asian E-Commerce Alliance (PAA) had its 68th Steering Committee meeting in Bangkok, Thailand on November 21 2023, hosted by National Telecom, the national single window operator of Thailand. The meeting was chaired by InterCommercer President Francis Norman Lopez.
In the 68th Steering Committee meeting, PAA welcomed their latest associate members E&P International from Shanghai, and FPT IS from Vietnam. E&P International is the single window operator of Shanghai, China, bearing the mission to construct the one stop service for trade facilitation and digital logistics. FPT IS is the leading IT service provider in Vietnam, striving to become a globally trusted provider of software solution.
PAA is the first global alliance that aims to promote secure digital trade. With 20 members and associate members, PAA continues to contribute to the global digital economy with the latest technologies.
Multiple cross border digital trade projects were reported in the meeting, including but not limited to the requlogory documents exchanges among ASEAN single windows and commercial documents exchanges under APEC framework.
During the meeting, collaboration between PAA and the African Alliance on Electronic Commerce (AAEC) and ASEAN Digital Trade Connect was also discussed. Bearing the shared vision to realize trade facilitation, joint efforts from multiple international initiatives are expected.
