INTERCOMMERCE NETWORK SERVICES, INC.

INTERCOMMERCE NETWORK SERVICES, INC. was established in 1987 as Global Teleprocessing Services, Inc., as the Philippine distributor of GE/GEIS, providing EDI value-added network services for Philippine organizations transacting with global companies, e.g. PH Garments Textile Export Board (GTEB) submission of Textile Visa to US Customs/Department of Commerce.

In 1997, Smart, GEIS, and eSkylink acquired the company to be set us as the PH E-Commerce Center, with a vision to interconnect to the other GEIS E-Commerce Centers globally.

In 1998, the company was renamed as InterCommerce Network Services, Inc., and established a niche in trade and logistics services in the domestic market, initially as EDI VAN provider for Customs. Smart and GEIS divested its shares to IC Technologies, Inc. in 2002.

InterCommerce subsequently embarked on cross border initiatives, joining the Pan Asian eCommerce Alliance (PAA) and having collaboration with PAA members, and other foreign private companies, including GXS|OpenText (US/CA), CONEX SA (FR), PT EDII (ID), TradeVan (TW) and NACCS (JP), and currently in discussions with Convergence Capital and CargoWise.

InterCommerce gained recognition in UN ESCAP, APEC MSME, WTO/STDF/IPPC, ASEAN SW, and EU-TRTA3 as expert in cross border e-commerce, paperless trade facilitation, e.g., E-CO and E-SPS Exchange; and recently, joined the APEC Model E-Port Network.

Locally, InterCommerce provides services for different Government Agencies such as The Bureau of Customs (BOC), Department of Agriculture (DA) under Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), Philippines Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Clark Development Council (CDC), Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC), Board of Investments under Motor Vehicle Development Program (MVDP) and recently with Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).
