Collaboration between PAA—Digital Trade Alliance member PT Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia and InterCommerce Network Services—Philippines in providing Advance Manifest services to European Union countries called ICS-2.
[Manila, Philippines] — [April 23, 2025] – InterCommerce Network Services, the Philippines' top service provider of trade systems and cross-border trade solutions, is pleased to announce a strategic business partnership with PT Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia (EDII) last April 22, 2024. This event was held at the Command Center Room of PT Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia, Wisma SMR Building, North Jakarta, by the Director of PT Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia Mr. Urip Nurhayat and President Director of InterCommerce Network Services Mr. Francis Norman O Lopez. This partnership aims to provide Indonesian Freight Forwarders and Carriers with a seamless solution for complying with the European Union’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2) requirements.
Import Control System 2 (ICS2) is an advance cargo information system designed to improve security in the international transportation of goods and involved supply chain. The primary purpose of ICS2 is that all Economic Operators (EOs) that bring goods to or transiting through the European Union (EU) Countries, have to declare safety and security data to ICS2, through the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS). As part of this collaboration, InterCommerce and EDII will jointly offer an integrated digital platform that enables freight forwarders to submit their Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) efficiently and in full compliance with EU regulations.
The ICS2 portal developed for EDII carriers and freight forwarders provides a familiar and user-friendly experience for end-users. With this platform, users can choose from three practical options for submitting their ENS: Excel file upload, online lodgment through the portal, or API integration with their internal systems. These flexible submission methods aim to cater to a wide range of digital readiness among freight forwarders and carriers.
This collaboration underscores the shared commitment of InterCommerce and EDII to assist Indonesian freight forwarders and carriers in complying the regulations of the EU international customs compliance. With ICS2 implementation phased across the EU, this partnership ensures that Indonesian stakeholders remain ahead of regulatory changes and can trade confidently and efficiently with Europe.
Indonesian Freight Forwarders and Carriers who are interested in participating or learning more about the ICS2 portal may contact EDII for onboarding details.
